A travel scavenger hunt

Touristosaurus

See the world. Find weird stuff.

Turn your next trip into a scavenger hunt — field missions that give you a reason to actually look around.

Sample Field Missions

A few specimens from the field guide. Every mission is a small excuse to pay closer attention.

Find an object, building, sign, or piece of art that makes you wonder why it exists exactly where it is.

Find a building, statue, or landmark with a backstory way stranger than it looks.

Find something that's been patched, mended, or jury-rigged instead of simply swapped out.

Pick a city, or just tell us you're staying put. Either way, missions appear.

Open a mission, read the briefing, and accept it. The clock doesn't start — only your curiosity does.

Spot it, mark it found, bank the bones. Then go accept the next one.

Travel guides tell you where to go. Touristosaurus gives you a reason to look around.

A few things other explorers noticed that you'd probably walk right past.

Found a tiny ceramic frog wedged into a crack in a stone wall. Still don't know why it's there.

Found a door built into a wall that leads to absolutely nowhere. Nobody nearby could explain it.

Found a full mural hidden behind a loading dock that almost nobody walks past.
